Kilmarnock FC Board Representation
In April 2017, the Trust launched its flagship ‘Trust in Killie’ initiative and, through this, succeeded in achieving board-level representation at Kilmarnock Football Club, with the appointment of a director, Cathy Jamieson, in June 2018.
Following Cathy's term ending, a new election was held in 2024 and Martin Boyle was selected as the next Trust director on the football club board.
Martin stepped down in early 2025 and was replaced by Don Bircham, who was ratified by Trust members in August 2025 and officially joined the club board in the same month after serving his mandatory six months on the Trust board.
The travel agency boss has an extensive background knowledge of the operations at football clubs having previously worked as chief executive at Wrexham FC.
He is a lifelong Killie fan, who started his travel career in Kilmarnock with AT Mays before moving to Thomas Cook in the town.
